4/10/2023 0 Comments Efax messenger latest versionLike well established brands in other industries, eFax charges a premium. Even with the discounted setup fee, as you can see in the grid, eFax Plus is substantially more expensive and offers far fewer pages than MetroFax’s “Essential,” Nextiva’s “Single User,” or RingCentral’s “Fax 750” plans. They typically charge a $10 setup fee, but people using our link have this charged waived. The service costs $18.99 per month or $189.99 per year ($15.83 per month equivalent) and includes 150 inbound and 150 outbound fax pages per month. * eFax is owned by j2 Global Communications along with Fax.com, Send2Fax, jConnect, RapidFAX, SmartFax, TrustFax, MetroFax, Sfax, MyFax, FaxBox, and UnityFax (now integrated into Fax.com).ĮFax Plus: eFax Plus is eFax’s least expensive paid service level. They also offer (800), (866), (877), and (888) toll-free numbers for no extra fee. You have free, unlimited online fax storage, which greatly exceeds the Market Standard of 30 days of free fax storage.ĮFax offers local numbers in 48 states and Washington D.C. You can only fax one person/email address at a time, but you can send and receive faxes on five email addresses with eFax. You can send up to five documents through eFax, as long as you keep the total file size under 5 MB, but eFax does not offer a preview of a fax before you send. eFax has a free trial period of 14 days.įaxing with eFax is very easy, as you only need to fill in one field and click once to send. The Market Standard is 300 combined pages. Unfortunately, unlike other services, eFax does not combine the pages in its plan and allots 150 incoming and 150 outgoing pages per month. For users needing these features, eFax is worth the higher price tag.ĮFax’s monthly fee is $18.99 with no startup or hidden fees. Also, eFax added a large file sharing option that allows users to upload large files (up to 3GB) and send the link to up to 20 email addresses, where recipients can download the files. However, eFax does offer the most features of any online fax service including e-signing, iOS and Android mobile apps, a HIPPA compliance option, international faxing capability and 24/7 phone support. Compared to our Market Standard of $10 per month for 300 free combined pages, eFax Plus is a bit more expensive at $18.99 per month for 150 incoming and 150 outgoing pages. Really, you pay $16.EFax has the most subscribers of any online fax service, but its pricing is on the high end. I CANNOT RECOMMEND EFAX AS A RELIABLE COMPANY OR SERVICE PROVIDER UNTIL THEY UPDATE THEIR SOFTWARE. It is a shame that the Mac version is not updated, more of an embarrassment that the current download is not even functional on Intel Macs.Ĭome on eFax, get with the program! (no pun intended). The online websend version of eFax does not compare to the Windows desktop software counterpart. Really, it has been 6 YEARS since the LAST UPDATE. In short, I am very disappointed about 's approach to updating their software in a timely fashion. Faxes sent to multiple numbers simultaneously (such as a fax copy to yourself) cannot be performed. You cannot drag and drop files to attachment section. The software is very basic compared to the current Windows version. ![]() ![]() Even though the software will install, IT WILL NOT SEND FAXES. The Mac version of eFax Messenger 3.1.10 does not work on Intel based Macs, and so will not work on any current Mac running Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. The Windows version took over a year before the 64 bit Vista/Windows 7 version was finally updated.
